In addition to CNC milling and CNC turning, Swiss Components, Inc. also provides CNC Swiss machining.
Our CNC Swiss precision machining equipment delivers live drilling and milling capabilities, offering a highly cost-effective solution for manufacturing both large and small quantities of very small, complex, and intricate parts. Swiss machining refers to the fabrication of small, high-precision parts that characteristically have a large length-to-diameter ratio. These machines use 7 axis of control and are equipped with main and sub spindles, which allows for complete, complex part production in a single operation.
We operate using Part Maker CAD/CAM software to guarantee parts are running efficiently and allowing us to program even the toughest geometries. Our highly advanced precision CNC Swiss machining can meet ultra-tight tolerances all the way down to 0.0002”, with the work pieces held firmly inside the machine to accomplish tighter fits and tolerances. Our machining operations further improve machining accuracy by greatly diminishing deflections and vibrations. Furthermore, our CNC Swiss turning machinery is able to handle stock lengths up to 12’ and an extensive range of materials up to 20mm in diameter, the benefit being the reduction of the cycle time as well as reducing the scrap material, allowing for the production of higher quality parts at more competitive pricing.
Swiss Components, Inc. prides itself in our ability to provide clients with ultra-precision machined parts, and our dedication to acquiring the most advanced, high-tech CNC Swiss machining technology makes us an industry leader, maintaining our position ahead of our competition.

A brief history of precision Swiss screw machining: Originally developed in Switzerland to produce watch parts, the Swiss-style screw machine made it possible for the Swiss to be a firm competitor in the manufacturing of high precision parts in high volume. Most CNC Swiss screw machines are made in Japan by Star, Citizen, and Tsugami.
